Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles CATrump National Golf Club is a private golf club owned by the Trump Organization. Unlike any other golf club, it has not bought by the Trump Organization. Instead, it is designed by the organization itself. This golf club is located in Bedminster, New Jersey. It is around forty miles west of New York City. It is one of the best destinations where President Trump will like to play golf and will host a meeting for the world leaders. The golf club sits in a small town of 9,000. It has also just 16 members of the police, as reported by the New York Times.

During presidency

After the presidential election, Trump National Golf Club was used to host meetings for the presidential power transition. In 2017, it became one of the three official presidential residences. The other two residencies are Mar-a-Lago in Florida and Trump Tower in New York. After then, Trump started using it to spend the weekends. He finds the property less expensive and less disruptive to spend the weekends than the Trump Tower that is located in New York City. This property is currently referred ad summer White House. In the August 2017, it will be the working vacation of the president. It is scheduled for the 17 days. The president will work from this residence during this period.


Trump bought this property from John Z. De Lorean in 2002 for less than $35 million. It was popular as the Lamington farm and was the part of a golf course construction project. This 36-hole golf club is designed Tom Fazio and Tom Fazio II. It was started in 2004. The membership of this golf club costs around $300,000 in 2005. In 2005, it was ranked at #73 in the United States by the Golf Magazine. In 2005 and 2006, it was ranked #84 by golf digest. The club is also known for hosting the wedding of President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump in 2009.

Security arrangements

Due to the security reasons, the flight restrictions are imposed within 30 miles during the Trump’s staying in this club. The restriction is imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure the safety and security of President Trump. Nineteen airports including New Jersey and Pennsylvania will be affected by this restriction. In fact, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will have to close down permanently as these are within the 10-mile radius. Trump National Golf Club has become the official residence of President Trump in 2017. Therefore, Congress appropriated up to $41 million for the security costs. In the current conditions, Trump prefers this residence more than the other two.
